Lara,

You're in good company. I decided to try a 30-day "rinse" on my brunette hair once to see what a dark, dark brown would look like...the "rinse" turned my hair b-b-b-b-b-black...and didn't "rinse" out until a year later.....I still carry the nickname "goth girl"....

I used to shave my legs for cycling but that was over twenty years ago when I still had dreams of a cycling career. Shaving your legs reduces the drag in both cycling and swimming. Also, in cycling where road rash is commonplace, it is easier to clean and dress the wound when there is no hair and it heals faster. But the added bonus was that I felt so "sexy"...lol...

Road rash. I had a spill about three weeks ago, and the scab is just now clearing up. The best part of it all is that my 2-year old loves to point out Daddy's boo-boo. The worst part was the hair getting stuck in the scabbage.

But I am still not convinced that I am going to shave my legs anytime soon.

Well, I actually get a day off from work today and have nothing to do what so ever. And I might just get bored enough to get the urge to shave my legs! See if I can actually do it with out cutting my ankle! But I must say, that my legs are so hairy that the hair makes them look a little bigger! Lol. I’m going for it! Jack.

My wife finally noticed, and boy she wasn't happy.  She said that I was going a little to metro for her tastes.  Personally, I think she was jealous that my legs are great, and that I spent more time rubbing mine than hers.  Now that a little time has passed, she getting better with it.  A couple of my friends shaved their legs after seeing mine, but their not triathletes.  What have I started?

I remember the first time I shaved my legs for swimming State Regionals way back when in high school. I was *miserable* when the new growth appeared. I itched and scratched for weeks. It's a good thing Adidas made those satiny warm-ups back then. That is about all I could where to school.

Would I do it again? Probably not. It just wasn't worth the misery afterwards. Of course, I can't stand shaving my face once a day either. I have now limited it to ever other day.

My legs are very itchy, not bad but very noticable.

No disrespect to the other guys and gals, but would you really pay to see some of these legs?  Ok, maybe I would.  How often do most people shave, what the frequency (Kenneth)?

Thanks

JR

This thread is too funny. The kid is gonna kill me, I put the photo of her first shave in the album. She swam Varsity in the fall and shaved for the first time for her district meet. I love the pic, she hates it!

Thanks for all the great info., but there is no way I could ever ever wax.  A buddy of mine recently got his legs waxed and said it was torture.  You might know him, Troy McClain from the "Apprentice".  We used to work together and still keep in touch.
