I just did a 5K this morning and did the best I've done in a year.  I'm so happy, the weather was perfect, I did great, blah, blah, blah.  It was a huge race (Race for the Cure) and I knew I wouldn't place, so I didn't stick around for results.  I just looked online for results, and found under my time, 22:36, my name not there.  However, since it was chip timed, there was detailed info, including bib number.  Lo and behold, the correct time and bib number, but someone else's name.  I just now looked at my bib, and although it said the correct number, the little computer label with my name on it said another number.  When I looked on the results for that other number, there was my name, and GASP!!! THAT person's time was 6 minutes slower than mine!!

I was so proud of my time and now not only does one other person get the credit for my time, my name is under someone else's time.  WHAT'S THE WORLD COMING TO!!!

We know, you know, and if that's not good enough, let the race director know. Shouldn't be that big a deal for them to fix it. Does it have your name by the slower person's time?

Congrats on a good race!

I e-mailed them already.  Don't expect any kind of response before Monday.  My name is down at the next number'd person's time, which is 28 something.  The person whose name is shown up next to my number and time was probably one number before me.  I have no idea how many numbers were out of sync.

At least my friends know the REAL deal!

Well, congratulations on your REAL time.

And personally, I would have been delighted with the slower time.
