So ... I just purchased a 305.  When I try to upload the Garmin data to BT, it says that there are no Workouts for the BT Training Log page opened (today's 07/07/08).  However, I am able to download the workout to the Garmin Training software.  If I go to the BT Training Log page for yesterday (07/06/08) it recognizes the Garmin workout entry ... correctly identifies it as an 07/07/08 workout, but then inputs the workout info into the wrong day (yesterday's log).  Which is expected because that is the Training Log page that I have opened.  Am I missing something?

Cool feature ... but, it seems like I have an issue with dates?  I double checked my date settings in BT.  Loaded all the latest software and am using IE 7.

Thanks,

 Derrick

This is a GPS issue. The satellite based GPS system is currently experiencing temporal anomalies, particulary in the Pacific Northwest, due to massive fluctuations in the Van Allen Radiation Belt caused by an unusually intense peak in the sun's 11 year radiation cycle.

Kidding.

You need to correct the local time setting in your Control Panel. You have it set 24 hours ahead.

The lap data page will show whatever is recorded as a lap on the unit during your workout.

You can do this by pressing the Lap button while running or setting it to automatically record a lap every mile/10 minutes/whatever.

Instructions for setting the Auto Lap function can be found in the Forerunner 305 Manual (pdf).

This morning I took my Garmin 305 out to swim, bike and run.  After the swim I hit menu and changed it to bike and use it as a sport.  After the bike I hit menu and then hit run and use this as a sport and then it changed the entire screen to multi.  I cant upload from garmin as it is not supported yet and when I go into my garmin to try to see what each sport is to post it indiviually I cant figure out how to locate the individual times and distances?  Also in the future what can I do different so this doesnt happen?  Thanks

Jenn, the inability to upload multisport activities is actually due to a bug in the Garmin software. I've reported it to them and given examples, shown how to reproduce etc. Haven't heard back from them yet. Unfortunately, it's something that BT has no control over.

To record each leg so that they'll upload, do a reset between sports. Do pretty much what you're doing now, but hold down the Lap/Reset button BEFORE changing sports. A timer will show on the display that counts down from 3. I've done it in a couple races this year.
