Pre-race routine:

bagel and PB, forgot to eat my banana
Event warmup:

9 mile pre race run to get 22 miles total for the day, long run in preparation for Shamrock Marathon in March

Comments:

my right hamstring got really sore during my pre race run, had to go a bit slower than anticipated but still finished
Post race
Warm down:

I heard there was a post race party with pizza and beer, but I wanted to get home and rest my legs

right hamstring pain

Event comments:

Lots of volunteers and cops along the race course at the drink stations and controlling traffic, I tried to thank them all as I ran past

Awesome job today. Good for you - 22 miles! You are going to do great at the Shamrock!!

That was a nice course, but I can't believe they messed up the distance.

Great race Sue!!  I considered my 1/2 mile walk from the parking lot to the start line warm up!!    NOT 9 miles of running before the race!!         You're amazing!!

 I guess we're both icing the hams tonight.  I'm reduced to a limp now.   Hope yours feels better soon.

Sue...great race and warm up...I thought I misread your warm up of 9 miles as 9 minutes...wow you rock Sue!!

Great race so tomorrow can be an off day to watch the Pats beat the Eagles!!
