Run
Comments: Few sips of water at mile 4. I ran with a friend who hasn't been running for 3 months for the first 4 miles. After we got water, she told me to just "go for it" so I picked up the pace, and blasted home for the last 2+ miles. I probably was able to go strong in the end because I was steady for the first 4... But I will admit, the pace we held in the begining was just fine. I considered this race a training run--a kick off to my MARATHON TRAINING! What would you do differently?: Have a different watch... I tried to time the race on my own (since there was no timing chip, etc. but my watch freaked out, somehow reset all functions, and so, I didn't get an accurate time on the race. Post race
Warm down: Not much of one--drinking beer! Whoo-hoo. And then the walk back to the car. Event comments: I'm so pissed at the timing system. They didn't give me a little time thingy at the finish line, so I was worried, and went BACK in the shoot to the front to ask for one, and they kid was like, "you don't need it" so then I was way back from where I SHOULD have been in line. So the time is my best, honest, guess as to what I ran. Last updated: 2005-02-04 12:00 AM
