Total Time = 00m
Overall Rank = 38/269

Age Group Rank = 2/12
Pre-race routine:

Get up eat normal breakfast, get my wife up(her first race), let the dog out, get bikes on the car and pack, get the baby ready and drive a little over 1 hour to the race.
Event warmup:

Walk around setting up transition and helping my wife with 1st race jitters.
Swim
  • 09m 53s
  • 547 yards
  • 01m 49s / 100 yards
Comments:

I swam pretty good. The course had a ton of weeds for the first 200m so that slowed everyone down a little. Other that that a good swim.
What would you do differently?:

Swim faster!
Transition 1
  • 01m 59s
Comments:

Second best T1 in my age group.
What would you do differently?:

Be faster, maybe try having shoes on the bike already.
Bike
  • 37m 8s
  • 12.4 miles
  • 20.04 mile/hr
Comments:

1st race with the new P2C and it didn't let me down. I averaged 16.8 last year on my road bike.
What would you do differently?:

train more to race faster
Transition 2
  • 00m 53s
Comments:

1st time doing the feet out of shoes on the bike worked good.
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Run
  • 24m 45s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 07m 59s  min/mile
Comments:

I had lots of cramps in my legs for the first 3/4 of mile 1 then I loosened up and ran pretty well. The 1st mile was slowest(9min) and 3rd was fastest(7min)
What would you do differently?:

Train more
Post race
Warm down:

Try not to throw up. I lest it all out on the race course just like I wanted to do so I could not do much for about 15-20 minutes.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

not enough training

Event comments:

This is a great race put on by 3D and Mid Michigan Multisport.

Great Job!  I kept an eye out for everyone but seemed I was too slow to see any one.

TJ had a great time and is looking forward to her second tri in a couple weeks. She finished in 1:24. That is great considering she put more miles on her new bike and wetsuit during the race than before.
