Subject: RE: Best IM Book?Gazillions of tri and IM books out there, and I've read most of them ... Don Fink's Be Iron Fit and Gordo Byrn and Joe Friel's Going Long are absolutely at the top of the list. I am hard pressed to say which is better, although I'd probably say Going Long ... it's much more detailed, more science-based, and has excellent advice on nutrition (both general and race-day) which Iron Fit nearly entirely lacks. However, if what you're looking for is specific training plans, time management advice, and accessibility/simplicity--and perhaps if you're a first-time IMer--Iron Fit rules. |
