Pre-race routine:

Late as usual. Rode up to Flint with Alaina and Ryan; well, actually I slept most of the way up there. We got to the race site, fought the 40,000 other people trying to pick up packets, and managed to find Rick, who had a bagel for me (thanks Rick!). I chowed on that while I got my stuff together and managed to get into the pack just as the race started.
Event warmup:

Bagel chowing.

Comments:

This was an interesting race.... very entertaining. The first 5 miles or so was a game of dodge the walker. And all along the way there was intersting things to see....
Mile 2: the frat house with the Krispy Kreme doughnuts.
Mile 2.5: the lady screaming "Praise the Lord" with every step.
Mile 3: the girl that answered a cell phone while running.
Mile 3.5: "Czar Ted welcomes you."
Miles 4-6ish: gospel music...lots of it.
Mile 5ish: Karaoke guy.
Mile 6ish: death metal.
Mile 8: MrM!!!
Mile 8.5: the worst rendition of ACDC I've ever heard.
Finish line: popsicles!!!

Good times. :)
What would you do differently?:

Show up on time.
Post race
Warm down:

Popsicles and pizza

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My slow ass.

Event comments:

One of the strangest races I've ever done. But I'd do it again! :)

She's weird?  Naw, she be my e-sis!

What was missing at this race was a headless, legless, armless, well-hung mannequin and an alien.

Maybe you were in Horror Movie 5 as an unannounced extra?

PRAISE THE LORD, ROBYN!

Actually I believe the death metal at mile 6 was actually gospel death metal.  It was from a christian radio station.  Really really strange.  I had a beer but passed on the Krispy kreme, although i probably should have gotten one as I dropped my gu about .5 miles later.

Great Job.
