Subject: RE: morning calf crampsNow here is where dehydration and lack of electrolytes HAS actually been shown to cause cramping. I would recommend making sure you have had enough to drink before going to bed and also to make sure you are eating a well rounded diet that includes enough salt, potassium, calcium and magnesium. Try that out first and see if it remedies the situation. I got them a lot during Basic Training in the Army and I had to stretch and actively rub down the calves (both some nights) to get it better. I would then try and pay a lot of attention to what I took in and that would help. |
