What did you think of the IMWI 08 logo on the finisher's shirt and medal this year?
Do you think it's cute and funny?
Do you think it dimishes from the accomplishment?

Being from Wisconsin... enough with the cows!!!
Will '09 be a cheddar wedge?

I thought the medal was cool, but the shirt was one of the ugliest race shirts I've ever seen.

It was the year of child design - IMFL 70.3 was a not so hot race shirt also.

BUT it nevers takes away from the accomplishment, nothing ever can

I'm thinking it will be a 1/2 barrel.

I said the same thing this weekend.

As someone who works for an advertising and design firm, I'm probably a little hypersensitive to these types of things. But that design was just ridiculously ugly. Even if you want to incorporate a cartoon cow to play up the "IMMOO" thing, there are ways to do it in a classy, cool look.

That thing is the kind of T-shirt design that goes right into the bike rag bin.

I thought the medals and the volunteer shirts were cool.  Dont understand how a logo would diminish the accomplishment and have seen waaaay worse asthetically and designed stuff.  Gotta look at last years medal to remember what it looks like but was hella jealous not to have one of those cows.  Its freakin MOO!

I liked it.  I thought it was pretty cool.  Dunno about the eye blinding yellow finishers shirts though.

I thought the medals were kind of cool, myself.  In fact, there's a pic of the table full of them from behind the finish line, for your viewing pleasure...

I was ok with the design, but I don't like that my T-shirt (bike course) was the same color as the finishers (yellow) I will probably never wear it in public again because I feel like a poser.

I liked the medal -- that looks pretty cool, but not so much the shirt.

Though I am jealous for all those who have one... it's an awesome thing to earn.. no WAY it goes into the bike rag bin.... ever.  (silly scoob)

Does it say pointer on the back though?  The finishers shirts have an ugly capitol logo on em methinks?

This is a pic of the back, but you are correct in that there is a funky abstract line drawing of the capitol building on the front...

OK, before I get painted as a hater, I want to clarify:

Cow Medal: very cool
Finisher's shirt: always can be worn with pride.
UGLY yellow volunteer shirt with black cow blotches: On par with last year's SoR design for worst T-shirt ever.

Did you see the fugly purple shirt from Racine in 2006?  That one went directly to the rag bin.  Literally.  Didn't wear it once.  If you had one of those you wouldn't be such a hater.

FUGLY green t-shirt - bike catcher
FUGLY maroon(?) t-shirt - finish line catcher
FUGLY yellow t-shirt - run course marshal
DECENT red t-shirt - registration volunteer

I confiscated received the first two and the last one.  The reason there were yellow t-shirts for the finish line catchers or a different color that was noted above in a different area was because they ran out or were not the appropriate size for volunteers.
