I've been using the Garmin upload feature regularly (thanks, again ) with no issues until this week.  But my 20 mile run on Sunday and 12 mile run today won't upload and yield a "formatting" error.  My 8 mile run yesterday uploaded fine and no other settings have been (knowingly) changed on the 305 by me prior to or during this time and I've uploaded runs of over 12 miles in the past without issue so not sure it's distance-related.

I know the error message asked to forward the offending workout files to you guys, which I'll try to do in the next day or 2 when I have a moment.  Just wanted to give you a heads up and see if anyone else was experiencing this.

If you got a Formatting error, then the workout file should have uploaded to the db. There is a run file that was uploaded this morning, but nothing from Sunday. I'll take a look at the data from today, but if you could send the data from Sunday, that would help too.

OK.  But I did the same thing on Sunday (tried uploading it, took a LONG time, and then came back with the error message), so I don't why it wouldn't be there as well.  Odd. 

Should I just try to upload it again later and assume that the file goes to the db?  Or send you a file from the Garmin software upload?

This happened again today.  Seems to be having trouble with my longer runs (18mi today).

It's the size of the file that's causing the problem. The last one was 1.5 MB which is taking too long to upload, so the process is timing out. I've made a change which may help for now, but I'm looking at a more comprehensive change to handle this type of situation.

OK.  Thanks for the explanation.  I assume there's not much I can do about this on my end (other than going for shorter runs ) as I already use the "smart recording" feature I believe.
