Subject: RE: Can't get heart above 141. What is up?I have always ridden at a high cadence, and in most flatter races I'm in the 100 - 105 range on the bike. Then I'm pretty consistant in the 170 - 180 on the run (85 - 90 per foot). I'm certainly not slow on the bike or on the run. Cadence is an individual thing, and has less to do with generating power and more to do with individual cycling efficiency. I'm a very efficient pedaler and as I mentioned, always spin, even up most hills. It's just what works best for me. |
