Comments:

This was a crazy course. We ran through the woods and there really was no trail. It was all about making sure you didn't sprain your ankle from a log you couldn't see because the ground was covered with snow.

If there was no snow, there was ice, if there was no ice there was mud...it was crazy!

I basically felt like I was captured and I finally broke free and was running for my life through the woods to escape! Making sure I didn't hit my head on the low, HUGE tree limbs that crossed over where we were supposed to run.

What a crazy cross-country race this was...but I LOVED it!

Event comments:

Very small race with on 50 or so people. It was crazy in the forest running through ice and snow...just asking for injury from tree limbs!

It was off-road on snow/ice covered trails and through woods without trails too.  It was hard because you had to make sure you didn't sprain your ankle almost every step AND make sure you didn't hit your head from tree limbs AND make sure you didn't get poked in the eye with branches...it was CRAZY!!

Cool, this race is something different...sounds like a fun race. I watched the Xterra championship race on tv, and their run was really crazy- all through rough terrain. I can barely run on flat ground, haha. Glad you didn't break anything.

I'm actually VERY surprised I didn't sprain or break anything.

What was amazing was how light/quick on my feet I was running through the forest.  I should probabaly do more of these things!
