Subject: RE: Longhorn Spectator QuestionsHopefully Keith will chime in with answers to the bus questions since he would have the most up-to-date information (he might not since he's busy ). Here is what I suggest: What time should my family plan getting on the bus to make the swim start? They don't want to be in the way of the athletes who are trying to get over there. I doubt there will be an issue with buses. If it get's close to the start, then there usually is an athlete's only bus to get them there faster.
Can or should they even bring lawn chairs? I would suggest it, if they can carry from the parking lot to the bus and then from the bus drop-off to the BT tent
Can they bring in a small cooler? Again, I would suggest it for the same reason above.
Is it easy to come and go during the race on the buses? Or should they plan on being there the entire day? I would plan on being there the whole day but don't know about the bus schedule. You can walk from the park back to the Expo Center (about a mile).
Is there anywhere to shower off or change after the race? I haven't ever seen a shower at Emma Long Lake but you can change in a few places depending on your level of comfort in changing in public. Is there somewhere I can stash a bag of clean clothes or do they need to carry them? The BT tent! I would appreciate any other helpful hints. Everyone except for my teenage son that is coming is an adult. There should be a crowd at the BT tent and we hope to be right on the run course (or close). |
