Bucktown 5k

I ran this a few years ago when it didn't interfere with the marathon (it was 2-3 weeks out back in 2006). I remember seeing some folks bite it in potholes and trip over the speed bumps...and if they were planning on running the marathon their race was pretty much over.

Good race, but I'm not going to race the weekend before a big race. Too risky.

But yes...the swag is typically pretty great. And overall a great race.

If they changed the course to better surfaced roads, I'd probably reconsider.

I'll be running.  This is my second year.  Last year I won a Polar HRM in the raffle.  It's worth it for that and the schwag!
