Comments: Overall, it was a very well done job since I went to break 4 hrs on this course, and we did it. So very happy with that. The start was a mass pack start and we were toward the back of the pack. Took a while to make it through the start. So we started with our watch and bike computer timers. My lower back was really bothering and had to stop a few times to stretch it out, and continuously stretch it on the course while riding. Also, had to stop twice to go pee on the side of the road. Just couldn't hold it anymore. What would you do differently?: Need to continue to train on the hills around Vegas, and continue loosing my weight so I get lighter on the hill climbs. Post race
Warm down: Did a long stretching session after the bike, and walked around to streth it our. Got our medals and sub-four hour license frames. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lower back was killing me, carefully eat the night before, hydrate more on the course. Due to cold weather, it was easy to not drink enough. Only processed 3 bottles on the 73+ mile course. Not enough. Event comments: The finish was not properly labelled. We crossed the what we tought was the finish (where the clock was), but it was 500 yds further down where a gentlemen wrote down the numbers. No timing chips here. Last updated: 2008-08-12 12:00 AM

We drove to the race site, ate some breakfast in the car. Banana's, toast, and some juice. When got there, just checked-in and helped Rob fix his wheel as his valve stem blew out. Got done just in time with 4min to spare for the start.
Stretched and walked around. Then did a short 1miler on the bike before the shot gun went off.
