Subject: Why are the calculations off?
New to this log stuff so be patient with my inane questions! I've noticed that when I input my time and distance for my run and use the calculate function to figure out pace, its never the same as my average pace on my Garmin. It calculates it as way slower....And sometimes I get one number when I use "calc" but when I go to my logs after updating it, the number is totally different. Is there any way to override the calc function and just put in my own pace based on Garmin??

Thanks!

I think I get it...if you look at Sept 29 for example, my log shows a 5k run done in 27:13 which is an average pace of 5:26 according to Garmin and log . But if you look in the "worksheet" part of the log for that day, it shows a pace of 5.44.

So this is making more sense to me now I guess...the pace is calculated and shows up in your log, and the "worksheet" part of the log is showing just the number in a decimal place format.

Right?

That's right. 5:26 = 5.44 minutes

Mike,

Is there a plan to move the 'calc' calculation to minutes and seconds instead of the current decimal format? Or how about having the opportunity to choice which format to use?

Thanks.

Mario

x2. I've had to play with this conversion many times to get it where it should be. However, I just got a Garmin 305 Forerunner, so it shouldn't be that big a deal now.

This would be a good thing to look at during the redesign that's currently being worked on.

Any votes against?
