Subject: RE: How long does this last??REALLY DEPENDS. Not a single one of us can say without being a doctor or not having examined you. I tend to get achilles pain and its relatively short lived. Achilles tendonitis will take MUCH longer to heal.
- Are your shoes worn out?
- Are you doing a lot of running on CONCRETE? Not pavement, but CONCRETE? (I found running TTL = instant achilles pain ).
- Do you wear highly cushioned shoes? (Actually shown to increase achilles issues by putting my strain on the tendon at impact - heel drops )
- Do you wear heels to work? DONT.
- Are your calves tight? Most lower tendon issues can be linked to calf tightness.
- Have you started a new hill or speed work program?
Just some thoughts. I LOVE the trigger point stuff for my calves, and have found taping up my achilles (as part of my plantar faciitis ) has really helped! GOOD LUCK! |
