Why did you choose this attire?

I have 3 pairs (and counting) of the Nike tempo shorts. They are reasonably priced ($28 a pair), cute cut and super-comfy and they come in a ton of color combinations. They also seem to wear well - I wear them ALL the time, put them in the dryer, etc, and they've held up nicely.

Nike- I hate their shoes but love their apparel.  They have such "cute" colors with their running tops/shorts.

I have several of the Nike track tempo shorts and they are extremely comfy!  I haven't had any chaffing issues with those shorts and they've lasted me a long time!  I also wear their running tank tops and dri fit shirts and don't have any complaints about them whatsoever.

I chose Nike since the topic was best running wear, and I have always been a huge fan, of all of their running apparel...it is functional, comfortable, they have such a variety of colors/styles, and their skirts, that I believe are supposed to be for tennis, work out PERFECT for a triathlon.  I wore Nike in my 2 1/2 marathons, and for 13.1 miles, they held up really well.

If I can add my comments about a couple of the other brands....

C9/Champion (which I have C9 from Target):  these are by far, the MOST comfortable running bra (the long and short version) I have ever worn while exercising.  In several of my tri's, I have worn the C9 top with a different brands skirt, because I loved how amazing and comfortable the running bras were.  I don't know if this is company wide, or just in Chicago, but in my area, the C9 running bras (I think they're seamless) have been discontinued, and I have no idea why.  I even called Champion's headquarters a couple months ago to beg them to not do this.

Skirtsports:  while VERY cute with their patterns, and I am sure ok for a running race only, this was not good for a triathlon.  It didn't have the bike shorts attached to it like the other brands of skirts that I race in (Nike, C9, Addidas) and so even just that thin layer with the shorts attached was missed...not as much padding, I was sliding all over the place when the bike leg first started since my bottom was wet (had on swim trunks, then skirt), and it blew around like crazy.

I usually only race now in skirts, as they are so cute, and to me, very comfortable, so I am always trying all of the brands and this is what I've found so far...Nike is the best fit.

I have always wanted those pricey running skirts, and then I saw them, at Target for 4.99 - GASP - they are great! Super cute comfortable, they come in lots of colors, and they dry really fast.

I have a very eclectic workout wardrobe. Champion, Target, Pearl Izumi, Terry, Desoto..I like NIke but the pants are always too long. I also LOVE Athleta and Title Nine for really cute stuff that lasts..pricey but worth it.

I have a running skirt from Target too - it wasn't $4.99, but it was definitely cheap (under $20). It's comfy and cute with a key pocket and spankies underneath.

Yes, I know, aren't they great?  I have 3 of them, and they're not only super cute for your pics, but they're pretty comfortable! I'm definately a skirt girl!!

I haven't raced in it yet - I don't think I would for a tri, as I just wear tri shorts/top or a tri-suit so I don't have to change. But I would wear one for a road race.

I LOVE running skirts, but my favourite by far is the one from Runningskirts.com.  I love that it has "panties" instead of "shorts" inside.  There's no riding up!  It's also not excessively girly - I don't like the ones with pleats/ruffles/etc.

My second favourite would be my Reebok running skirt.

If I could only buy one piece of clothing - that would be it.  I hate that skirt weather is over ...

I also have multiple Target running skirts. Cheap and comfortable! I also have multiple running shorts from Old Navy. Good for training runs also under $20.

I have a few Nike pants and shorts too but they run long.

Nike! Overall, their stuff is comfortable, lasts longer and just works. I'm also talking running attire, not shoes.
