Subject: RE: Swimming with a band? Micawber - 2008-11-26 12:34 PM No, not the latest musical group. In a recent swimming thread, there was some mention of swimming with a band or ankle lock. What kind of workouts or drills would you do with one? Is it mostly for learning balance? Are other toys optional or recommended with a band, for instance: a pull buoy, paddles, or something else? Is there anything you shouldn't be doing with one? Does anyone have links to more information about using a band? IMO an ankle lock is better and for drills, just swim! I call it the "don't drown" drill. start with a couple 100 sets and build up to 5-10. You can alternate some stes with ankle lock other just swim to reinforce the feel and it will help your balance and stroke lots |
