Pre-race routine:

Woke up at 2:30 and was wide awake so I gave up and made coffee. Two breakfast quesadillas covered in chili all in a cereal bowl. Breakfast of champions :)

Event warmup:

walked on tip-toe, duck walked on heels until it quit feeling tight. That's about it.

Comments:

The run felt a whole lot better than it had any right to. I was pushing for 2:00 and the last about 2 miles being basically uphill was the only thing that kicked my butt so I didn't make it.

What would you do differently?:

Hill repeats.

Warm down:

Walked around and got a complimentary 5 minute massage.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

First year doing these things. I'm not even vaguely unhappy about this. I shortened my time from the last one by 12 minutes so this is all kinds of great.
