Wow I had never heard of this until just now. I got started in my bike racing career doing 24 hour marathons in the late 70's! This is like going full circle (pun intended). Sorry I missed this years. I guess I could enter the Columbia one. BTW I rode 415 mile when I was 17. They were 5 mile laps in central park in NYC.

You would probably like this a lot.... maybe you can catch the other event and also sign up for Charlotte next year. We couldn't believe how quick it filled up this year (1200 rider limit )...luckily got in late.
I rode all through the night and around 3 in the am there was almost no one on the course, it was starting to rain, I was tired, wind picked up... then I finally realized what it was all about. I thought of all the people who have suffered and endured through cancer. Almost immediately I felt stronger and everything else was inconsequential.... it was a seriously powerful moment that I won't forget. My "hardship" was absolutely nothing compared to the hell that cancer must be like. If you're inspired and truly motivated, it's amazing what you can accomplish.... hopefully the event will help result in more positive breakthroughs in the fight against cancer.
