BubbaK - 2009-04-21 11:01 AM Thanks Lora. My split is not there either, but the good news is that they fixed my age, and it appears that I won my AG.... as a Female contestant.

LOL.

Question.  The race listing here on BT has the swim at 437 yards.  Is it 437 or should I change it to 400, which seems right to me?

It was in a 50 meter pool x 8 lanes = 400 meters = 437 yds.

actually it does not take in to acct the very real width of the pool appx 16m makinking the real distance 454 yds.  swim time also includes your run to T1.

so if your 400m time seems out of wack remember the extra you did

Thanks, Brue.  I thought I was just getting lost in math translation.    I appreciate the clarification.

My race report is up, as best as it can be.

Yeah, I'm sick of waiting. I posted mine too. At least I got my 5k time. My run was not as good as I thought, but still a PR by several minutes.

Hey, Brue!  Would you mind if I copied these pics for my own files?

Thanks,
Lora

P.S.  I've now had Ron change my username to Lora109.  It's just easier in so many ways.

HFP has updated the overall results to match the ones Speedy-Feet has been showing for the last couple days.  Still no splits, but they're now showing 585 finishers instead of 587.  So, for example, I'm now 498/585 instead of 500/587.

I post things to the net with the assumption pics are fair game.  They are yours for the taking.

Hey guys,

talked to one of the race diretors, happens to be my tri coach at the time, he said it take 48 hours to finalize the results once they get back from the race.  he did however seem not to be aware of some of the initial issues that have been coming up, and said he would look into it.

Seems that he has.

Thanks for that inside tip.  Still a lot of missing data, though.  HFP is a great company and I just have to trust they'll eventually get it worked-out.

Yup, Daniel Smith be the one. He was asked, or convinced late to be a director for HFP just recently.  Up to the beginning of April he said he wasn't going to do it this year, but later decided to do a few races.

I train with him at EMH health center in Avon.

(so far for the better).

the good news is - the wait for splits is over

the bad news is what you saw already is what you get.

speedy feet posted a memo on the hfp results stating they were sorry.

i know things happen and am glad they came out and said so but it doesn;t change my dissappointment.

WTF?!?!??!?!

NO swim, T1 OR BIKE times for me!  UGH!  Can we even trust at this point that the times are even correct???  This is total horse poop!  My very 1st tri only happens ONCE!

I'm only cranky cause I finally balled up and looked at my split times.  UGH.  My run sucked and I'm cranky and gonna pout about it.

At least they came out and owned up to it. A little more communication earlier this week would have been nice.

I just wonder if they will offer participants a discount on future events or something like that.  I mean, that is part of the service that we paid for, and I am not sure if we can even trust that the finish times are accurate.

I am actually starting to feel a little bit upset about this...

Ok, I am calm now.  Time to go to sleep!

Well they do some of the 5k runs in my area. They never mess up on the 5k's. But this is the 3rd Triathlon I have done with them and they are 0 for 3 for splits. That is why I always wear my watch.

My finish time was 5 sec. off from what I had. They had 5 sec longer then I did just because I started my watch before jumping in the water and not when I crossed the line for them to check to see if the chip was reading.

My splits

swim 9:44
T1 1:38
bike 39:48
T2 :27
Run 27:46

1:19:25

Speedy feet was 5 sec off or HFP? Lasst year HFP lost the splits on one of my races but it was forgiveable, we were racing in 50+MPH winds.
