Subject: iPhone App?

While I realize this is probabaly a small subset of the BT community I think an iPhone app would rock.

I'd love to have the ability to log run/bike/swim workouts.  I realize that you *can* do this via Safari but it's hard to do with so much infromation on the screen.

Just a simplified version of the training log (maybe with graphs etc..)

Just curious...

I agree 100% - I would also be willing to contribute a small donation to someone willing to take it up.

iPhone app would be awesome and very useful!  I was just thinking of that same thing today when I was out and about after the gym and wishing I could more easily log my workout.

Mike and I have discussed this...we are even doing some testing on the current site with some web-enabled phones right now.

At the minimum, after we get the new site online and a few other projects done, we will probably come out with a 'skinned down' version of the site with only the most important areas with only the most important linking.  Probably this will include logging, a skinned down text training report page, private messaging and some forum functionality to start with.  Really focused, really fast.

This way we can at least satisfy the basic requirements of EVERYONE having web-enabled phones.  We'll see how that goes and look into customized phone apps further.

Let me know if you need another beta tester for the new site.

Thanks Ron.

x2 to everything said. I'd prefer a real app to a simpler web-page, but anything would be great. Would donate to the cause as well and will be willing to beta test as well.

I use "mapmyfitness" on my iPhone. My workouts go to twitter. Anyway to send the workouts from twitter to my BT log?

I'll chime in to say I would be a heavy user of an iPhone app, or evan a mobile version of the site.

Another Iphone user that would love a BT app..

It would also be nice to be able to reply to threads and post in the blog section of our logs. I have figured out a way to PM, inspire and log my workouts from my phone , but it would be easier with an app, me thinks...

Willing to test and pay for this kind of feature.

Ron if you're trying a skimmed down version of the site, you ought to check out the way gyminee.com does there's.  I used to use it when I did my strength training.  Extremely simple and clean.  To me, the only time I would need to access the site while away from the comp would be to log my nutrition, and possibly my strength training.
