More details...
SEE-ME 2009
will occur at the Concourse Athletic Club, where it's successfully been the last three years under a different name; the Concourse Triathlon Expo & Party
(CTEP
). Our leadership committee had developed a very comprehensive plan the year's model that, frankly, would arguably be the "greatest show on earth"
(endurance sports related, that is!
)
However, given the sensitivity of the current economic environment and other competing events
(like the ING Georgia Marathon this coming weekend
) we have opted to decrease the scope of the event to better respond to this year. We've reduced the scope and therefore reduced the need for the larger footprint of the Cobb Galleria Centre.
APRIL 4, 20093 pm - 7 pm
(EXPO times
)
Here's what I'm very excited to say we're keeping:
1. 40-45 exhibitor booths in the main exhibit area
2. 10-12 swap booths also in the main exhibit area
3. Person of Courage award; we have selected our recepient for this year!
4. Kickoff Mixer...nothing says "get ready for the season" like BBQ and kegs of beer! This has always been a crowd pleaser!
5. Three seminars. We've determined the topics for earch 45 minute session and have speakers lined up.
6. Raffle items. Another crowd pleaser highlighted by a very nice bike raffle donated by one of our sponsors.
7. Goody Bags for the first 500 entrants to the SEE-ME.
And we have two very prominent sponsors who are excited about the SEE-ME 2009 regardless of the venue change.
Not surprisingly, the "market" has responded extremely favorably to the venue change. I've literally gotten 10 emails from organizations the past 3 days. We've dropped the entry fee to $5 and many people have come to know the Concourse Athletic Club venue as a top spot for this pre-season kickoff event!
