Comments: From the first mile on (6:20) i didn't feel sharp. I was consistent staying within reach of the group ahead. The miles seemed to take FOREVER. I got a boost just past 5K and 4th/5th miles were good. Last mile was over a bridge and into the park, i was running strong , it was an all out effort and took everything i had. What would you do differently?: Not much. I wouldn't run 15 miles on wed or bike 23 on thurs if this was an A race Post race
Warm down: Ran back to 5K course to see Aimee come in. jogged a bit with her What limited your ability to perform faster: travel - overtraining this week - chinese dinner night before race - sleeping on a futon Event comments: The weather was good despite crummy forecast. Driving to off site parking and took shuttle bus in. A little anxious about weather and talked with Aimee about layering on the bus. Had Hammer Bar, bottle of water, Red Bull Cola (caffiene fix). Thirty minute before race took Gel pack and found bathroom
Didn't do much runing - got in shorts and race top, jogged for a bout 3 minutes and did a few strides. I was feeling ok, and did some light stretching
