  • Comments: Great race, especially for how large it is. Just be ready for a very crowded start and lots of dodging the first mile, just like any big race.

  • Comments: I still wish there was an aid station at 2 and 4, not just 3. I personally like the one at mile 4 so I can take a gel. But other than that, things went smoothly. I didn't try the food because the line was too long and I needed to get going.

  • Comments: The winner of the race from Kenya said today is the first day in his life that he has seen snow. I'm bib #1687 in pics. First pic is lead pack, bib 340 is Brian Bich from Duluth - nationally ranked 40-45 AG'er in tris

  • Comments: I am so very thrilled with my performance today. My last 10K which was my first was last June and I finished in 1:09:44. Today I almost shaved off 10 minutes with a year of training which is HUGE! I had goals of pacing well and running as much as possible and I accomplished both of those. Now I am totally psyched for the half marathon in three short weeks!

  • Comments: Get in Gear is a huge spring race for the Twin Cities. The course follows the bluffs above the Mississippi River so it is very winding and paying attention to running the tangents is important. Very nice course and not too tough.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too hard

  • Comments: Would have liked water at miles 2 and 4, instead of just at 3. Granted it was 40 and rainy the last few years, so maybe they were gambling.

  • Comments: I gave the race a #5 because of the people. Not just my fellow runners, but also the volunteers, the announcer, the random spectators... The poor weather condition made the event even more memorable (i.e. increase the bragging right by fourfold.) (Pictures to follow.)
