Hey aussie-man, cool you're working at a climbing centre. Did some climbing for 4 years, made a wall with some others at our sportsschool. I trained with the dutch junior champion a couple of times. Haven't done it in 6 years now, so I will have to start with the grade 4 routes again.

Did a 2 x 2000meters swim (36 minutes)

Doing shoulders and abs tonight. Getting in 5 meals a day in. I don’t get tired during the day and feel ready to workout after work. Also a recovery drink within ten minuets after my workouts. Lovin' it!

Swam 1/2 mile and did a 1 hour pilates class

Expecting 5-10 inches of snow this afternoon into evening, so I guess my run/bike will be indoors tomorrow.

Snow today, so I'll be doing bike and swim inside. Well, swim was always gonna be inside, but with an inch of new snow on the ground, so will the bike.

How we went from almost 70 two weeks ago to snow and lows in the 20's I'm not sure, but it seems that we did.

Resting from the running a bit, as my left achilles ( midway btwn calf and ankle ) is/was starting to get sore. Don't want to injure anything in my first Tri season, so backing that off.

That being said, anyone have any advice/suggestions on what can still work legs/run muscles? Obviously each situation is different, but is it usually ok to walk for the time being, or should I just stay off it as much as possible. We're not talking huge amounts of pain or anything here, just a little pain/tenerness towards the end of my runs.

I've added some pics to the album section. Nothing Tri specific yet, as I'm doing my first in July, but I'll add some training pics hopefully before then. For now, there are some mtn biking pics and snowshoeing, which count as Tri conditioning, right?

I think we had two of these threads for today. Well, it's one way to allow two people to be first!!!

I posted on the "other" one.

Bleh, 44 min ride inside was booooring. Good tunes helped though, as did a few simulated hills.

22 min swim after. Swim went good. I swam over a KM today! Wooooo! :D Did 2 x 100 to warm up in the water ( pool is nice temp for working, but cold at first ), then swam 900m, all Free, no breaks. Longest swim I've done since I did a mile swim back as a Boy Scout at age 15!

Feeling good since my first tri is not until July, and I'm already training over the sprint distances for Swim and Bike. Need to really work on my running though. That is my weakest link. It doesn't help that my left achilles is acting up either. :
Tomorrow is conveniently enough a rest day, so I get to be bad, as I was so good today.
