Comments: Around mile 10 my right leg started heating up from my hip moving to my toe. I tried everything to not let it effect my gate, trying not to limp. It cleared up by mile 11 or 12. I didn't affect my pace which was good. I actually surprised myself my pace, I was shooting for 7min giving myself a 5% lag on each split but made up for 5 min off my goal of 1:35 (Half of a Boston qualifying split time) What would you do differently?: warm up and stretch a little more or at all Post race
Warm down: walked around stretch a bit waiting for friends to come it. Not enough! What limited your ability to perform faster: I didn't put the miles in. The two weeks prior I only ran 6 miles which is two weeks before the race. I relyed on my cardio from swimming and leg strength from biking. I know if my legs were tuned up more I could have kicked it up more at the end. Last updated: 2009-03-05 12:00 AM
