Got up and got dressed, pumped up the tires and made sure bike was in good working order

Comments:

This is not truly a race...more of a ride, but it was a lot of fun getting to ride on LSD. It was a beautiful day but a bit chilly and the wind coming from the north was really strong. We started going north and then flew going south but then had to battle the wind going north again on the way home. I felt really good and could have kept riding...I also could have gone faster, but was trying to stay with my DH and there were a lot of both experienced and inexperienced cyclists out there.

That's it?  No embellishing about the Chicago skyline, or how pretty the bikes were, or any pace booty??

I actually acceidently published it...I fully intended to wax poetically about the beauty of the skyline in the new light of morning....but alas...
