A little pre-Game 4 fun for all:

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette brings the Two-Face Takedown for Pens fans, and the Detroit Free Press caters to the 'Wings fans with the Don't Touch Sidney! game.  Enjoy!

Um...um...um...

Who was that team with the red and white jerseys playing against the Penguins in the second period?

Ok, fellow Red Wings fans, it's all good.  The Penguins have been playing well, but that had too just to tie the series.  Now it's tied and we're taking it back to Detroit.  You're never in trouble until you lose on home ice.  Datsyuk is making some promising progress, will we get him back?  We played pretty well in the third period.  We just need to put three good periods together in the same game.  We KNOW we can play well against the Penguins, we just have to do it with more consistency.

And now for the hard part...hats off to Crosby...that assist on the third goal was unreal.  The turning point of the game was the shortie by Staal, that killed us.

It's not over though!!

Oh, and one other positive, Osgood wasn't bad in this game.  The shortie was really the only one I wish he could have back.  The first goal, he did all he could.  The 3rd and 4th goals, I don't care who you've got in net, those are going in.

Penguins are very good at coming from behind series wins this year...Detroit is last on our list

Yeah, they've certainly done it before, the Washington series has been on my mind ever since the horn sounded at the end of Game 2.  But this is an experienced Red Wings team, I expect them to rebound in Game 5 and have a good showing.

Ok, that was a beat-down. However, a beat-down with an immense number of interesting and motivating, err, situations (calls). Twas competitive throughout, looking for a huge game 5. Saturday...I will be in the zone. Heh.

Momentum has shifted. Crosby, Malkin, and Staal are scoring. The Pens are hungrier than the Wings and that might be showing a little. Detroit is also the oldest team in the league and that might be a factor as well.

Detroit still has home ice and The Joe is one of the toughest places to play.

At least we have a series again.

That fourth Pittsburgh goal was amazing - great vision by Crosby. He may be a baby, but he's got some great skills.

of course game 5 has to be the night before my 'A' race.... and I'm staying in the race provided dorm rooms, no TV. My options are go somewhere to watch the game or just forget about the whole thing and get to bed early. I'm not the type of person who can watch the first two periods and walk away with the score 1-1, and if overtime happens.... ohhhh boy. What should I do?

All early indications and reports are that Datsyuk will play tonight.  Hopefully he'll spark a tired set of Red Wings!

If it were me, I would go watch the game...this is the pivotal GAME 5. I don't have the stats in front of me, but almost every team that wins game 5 of those series tied 2-2 goes on to win the series.

I never sleep well before races anyway, so if you're like me, you'll likely be up tossing and turning - might as well watch the game. And, if your team loses, you can take out that frustration on the course tomorrow. Good luck in your race.

WOO HOO!  Really good game for the Red Wings, we were on the ropes, this was a great bounce back game for them.  I'm really glad the 'Wings don't have to face elimination in Pittsburgh, it's hard enough to play there as it is!

Oh, my.  Lookit that.

Loved the wings jump in this game, wasn't so crazy about the pens' chippiness (that was put politely). Osgood continues to be a witch. Datsyuk is even better than I thought he was;  night and day with him on the ice.

And I, too, am glad the wings aren't facing elimination in the Mellow center.

Hope they can ride that momentum into Pittsburgh! Anybody tell me if the game is on VS again ! Hate VS! The Pens came out strong in the first 10 minutes of the game and I was very concerned! After the first crap goal - we got into ur groove.

Crosby / Malkin - dont take out your inexperience by becoming a$$ holes and slashing the BEST OF THE BEST!

Woot! Finally a game that didn't cause me ulcers. Except when the Pens started acting like thugs, then I got a bit nervous...but only for the safety of the boys.

Dats looks great. As one of the guys said to a reporter, I'd take Dats at 75% any day. And after the first shift or so, he looked better than that. 5 scores, 5 scorers. Osgood looked good. I know Game 6 will be tough, but I feel good about the Wings after last night.

The rest of the Stanley Cup finals will be played on NBC.  Tuesday at 8 and if neccesary, Friday at 8.

Heck of a game on Saturday night!  How about Nik Kronwall?  He has hands like a forward.

I'm glad I'm in town this week because I have a feeling there will be some celebrating to do.

I ended up watching the game and boy am I glad I did! I wasn't even up that late because I felt pretty safe with a 5-0 lead after 2 and packed it in from there. Great having Dats back, hopefully we can end this thing tomorrow night!

Someone needs to tell the Red Wings this is hockey, not the Ice Capades. Or at least remind the refs of such.
