Pre-race routine:

Road bike over to RIT. Walked down to pick up number and t-shirts.
Event warmup:

Easy run with a couple of strides.

Comments:

Rain, rain, and more rain. Some areas on the road had standing water.

I lined up about 8-10 rows back from the start line, just inside the 6:00 per mile marker. This was a great spot, I was able to run with the crowd, though we crossed the first mile in about 7:00. There were a few runners that came around me, but not too many and I didn't have much traffic to avoid myself. This was the prefect spot.
What would you do differently?:

Not much I could do, gave it all I had. Seem to hit a wall about mile 2.5 or so, but tried to push through. The weather wasn't the best, started out at the pace I wanted, maybe it was too much for the weather. HR was higher than normal for this distance, usually I average around 165.

Walked around, drank some.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Weather, Speed Work.

Event comments:

RIT provides a tent and food for the runners. We had burgers, sausage, chicken, and pasta available.
