I stopped by Tribe today to pick some stuff up.

"WTF??!?! It's Saturday! Why are they closed?"
"Oh...yeah."

Let's see some RRs.

I'll post my RR once they post the final time, I tried to do splits with my HRM, but I kept forgetting I was doing that and would split like 5 or 10 minutes after I was supposed to. Only thing I got even remotely close was the swim, after that it went downhill (see what I did there?).

Overall though, that was a tough as heck sprint, tons of uphill, and a 3 mile trail run that was like 1 mile down, 1 mile up, 1 mile up and down over and over.

Awesome time out there yesterday.  Absolutely PERFECT day for a race - ideal temperatures, no wind, and a little overcast.  Still waiting on the official results, but had a great time.  DCB did an excellent job again putting on the race.  Race report will follow this week.

Read your RR, congrats BTW, and I liked what you had to say,

"I convinced myself that the only way I was going to drown was if my heart stopped"

I'm going to remind my self of that in the future, as I tend to get flustered by suckin' down water myself.

Congrats on the finish.

One of the sig lines I like: "If you didn't swallow water in your last race, you weren't racing."

Also with her time improvement, if you calculate out her splits, she had close to a 5 minute improvement over the Tempe Intl swim a couple weeks ago. HUGE!!!

I agree with Brian, it was perfect weather and a great race.

I was able to chop a little over 12 min from last years time even though I was lollygagging in transition a little.

Since it is mandatory to complain about something I am going to say I would have liked to see chip timing so the results are available sooner.

And they ran out of t-shirts before I got mine.  Since I registered a month ahead my name went on a list of people who had paid for shirts and didn't get them and suposedly they will mail me one someday.

Overall I still had a great time and the one thing I should have done different (other than swim faster) was change out my gear stack on the bike.  It was a completely hilly course and I had a compact stack with a biggest cog of 21 when I needed the one with a 25 cog that was sitting in my garage to help get up those hills.  My bad, but again something that I hope to correct next year.

I witnessed this lollygagging during T1 posing for the camera and everything, nice

I did body marking... then swim/t1 timing and then finish timing... oh and helped take everything down too.

Good job to everyone who raced!
