Now that it's super hot, I am sweating like a fiend.  It doesn't bother me except for the sweat that drips from my forehead into my eyes on the bike.  I have tried the sweat diverting head bands and regular headbands and it still runs down.  It's hard to wipe away underneath the sunglasses and when I blink, the sweat splashes on the insides of my sunglasses and forms salty crystals that make it hard to see.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can try a headband (non-cotton) that's made to wick sweat rather than divert it. I've also heard that rubbing chapstick in a line above your eyebrows is supposed to help the sweat from getting to your eyes, but I haven't tried it.

I don't wear sunglasses for exactly that reason.  I also sweat like this ALL of the time.

I take chapstick and and make an upside down V from just above the middle of my eyebrows and going past the outside of my eyes.  I think it helpd direct the sweat away from your eyes and down your face.  Also wear a headband ar do-rag with head sweats liner under my helmet.  Long rides I bring 2 of them.  When one is saturated a wring it out and tie it on back of bike to dry while I use the other one.  Switch when needed.

Those are all great ideas, especially the chapstick "diversion" and I'm going to try them out on my next ride.  Thanks!

i wear a nike dri fit skull cap under my helmet. i keep my hair super short so it helps in keeping my head burnt and cool plus helps a bunch with the sweat. its so thin you dont notice its on under your helmet.

I sweat like it's going out of style and you just about cannot see through my glasses after a bike ride. Gotta wear the glasses because I've been hit by too many June bugs and can imagine getting bopped in the eye by one at 30+ MPH.

I found halo sweat bands work wonderfully and I can wear a pair of glasses twice or three times before they need cleaned. That's a minor miracle all by itself.

Do a search for "Halo sweatband" in ebay and you'll see what they look like. I've done up to about 4 hours on warm days and these still work even soaked.

I wear a Halo headband on the bike and the run. They are about $12 at REI. I sweat like a stuck pig. I wring it out several times on the run and it does well.

I never wear glasses but maybe you could squit some wate from your water bottle in your eyes to rinse the salt?  Just a thought.  I never see salt from my sweat....not sure why becuase I eat a lot of salt.

I tried the Halo headband and it made a huge difference.  I still sweated, but it dripped around and down the lateral sides of my eyes.  Success!  Thanks all!

Don't shave your eyebrows.  Seriously, I have thick bushy ones and when I shave (rather trim), I suffer.  I also wear a do-rag.  99 cents at your local beauty shop!  And of course I put on some Emenim!

Not protecting your eyes on the bike is silly, cars and other bikes kick up all kinds of debris.

I use a pace headband all the time when it's hot and it works fantastic.

I'll be trying one of these as soon as it arrives as well:

You'll never catch me riding without glasses, my eyes are too precious to risk.

I picked up one of these over the weekend to control the sweat. Worth every penny - worked great and actually kept my head cooler...

I had originally read that you could use Body Glide.  I feel like there is a difference...but it could just be a mental thing.

I like the SweatHawg, a helmet liner. Highly absorbent, wicking, protects from sun and bugs too. And no ugly dangling flapping stuff out the back either. Invisible during use. Google it. It works!

I just got the Sweat Gutr and it works really good. The best thing is that this band doesn't absorve the sweat even that is made of pvc it doesn't irritate my skin.

Oh, I may have to try one now too! I have chin-length hair, that wouldn't get in the way or defeat the purpose, would it? (Are they only meant for bald or short-haired heads?) I also like how it would keep my hair smashed into place under my helmet, so the wind doesn't whip it into flippy-wings during my ride, which is what usually happens Tongue out
