Pre-race routine:

up early - coffee - rode bike to race 8 blocks away
Swim
  • 13m 7s
  • 437 yards
  • 02m / 100 yards
Comments:

after swim there is 1/3 mile run to transition - probably lost some ground there
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Transition 1
  • 01m 44s
Comments:

not too bad - suit came off OK - caught breath and jumped on bike
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Bike
  • 37m 27s
  • 12 miles
  • 19.23 mile/hr
Comments:

felt great - steady comfortable cadence and didn't want to blow everything on the bike and have nothing left for the run
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Transition 2
  • 01m 6s
Comments:

nice transition again - everything off/everything on
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Run
  • 28m 41s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 09m 15s  min/mile
Comments:

this is probably the only part of the race I may have been disappointed in - maybe I could have pushed a little harder but one of my goals for this race was to run the entire way and maybe I didn't want to push too hard that would have made it difficult to meet that goal
What would you do differently?:

push it a little more
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

probably a little leary being that this was my first race in about 2 years - and just wanted to finish with a good overall feeling about my performance - I DID

Event comments:

feel really good about overall performance which was really my main goal - should be fine for rest of season

Nice job getting back into racing mode.  Next time you can work on testing the limits a little further if you want.
