Got into the pack, and sighted for the first bouy off landmarks. Worked great. Since I already did the 300 meter before this one, I knew some of the landmarks going on the backside.

I got the most contact on this swim. First, some guy MAULED me trying to head for the MIDDLE OF THE LAKE! Dude, really. You have to SWIM OVER ME and take me down... to GO THE WRONG DIRECTION! I wanted to kill that guy. I had to stop and let him go so I wouldn't drown and I did yell "YOU ARE GOING THE WRONG DIRECTION!" Like he heard me. *Grumble*

Then, as we were swimming on the backside of the lake this girl (no one else was NEAR us) started to swim over me. WTH? REALLY?

I flipped on my back and did a frog kick. When I did this, I planted my foot on her shoulder blade and pushed off her. She picked her head up and looked at me and I yelled something. She then decided to go around me. YEAH. There's lot of lake to be used lady.

THEN... she was right beside me and everytime I went to breathe she was stroking on that side and flinging water into my mouth. Great.

I finally just stopped so I could get away from her. But of course, we would bump into each other again.

I made sure on the final stretch to start sprinting. We both got to the ladder at the same time. Take that rude girl.

Stayed for the awards, since there was a small group of people. Figured I would cheer for the winners since they were giving out awards for first place female/male overall. I was shocked to find out they were doing first place for age group/gender!

I was even more shocked to learn that I got first place in my age group for the 300, 750 and 1500 meter swims!
