Subject: RE: I suckHaven't been feeling the best for the last few weeks, ran a 5K with a sinus problem and an ear that wouldn't unpop. Got up the other morning with a slight fever and still went out and did my run since it was my "run" day. I can sympathize with not feeling like doing anything. For me keeping in mind what my goals are helps me keep going. I know if I start slacking on areas I'm doing good it just goes away. I envision my fitness as a glass full of water with a pin hole in the bottom. Putting in the work fills the glass up, but if I let it sit too long, that glass is going to empty. My primary reason for doing triathlons, to give my workouts something tangible to work for aside from being healthy, hopefully living a longer more fullfilling life, etc. I suppose if I had a marathon and 10 mile event coming up running would be on my mind as well. Good luck with those and getting back into your biking and swimming. |
