Champion  6285     Beautiful Sonoma County |  Subject: OK... what's your favorite gel?So, there's the thread about your favorite energy bar. But what about your favorite gel? Me, I haven't tried very many, but of the gels I have tried, I like the Razzbery Clif Shot the best. |

I love Gu. best stuff ever. but its lacking in electrolytes and sodium. eFuel is a liquid that is easily added to hand up bottles. the eGel isn't the tastey treat Gu is, but I'm willing to suffer a bit to make sure the legs have it for the run. |

Carb Boom Apple Cinnamon has been the most digestable and best tasting to me, but I have come to the conclusion that sports drink is over all a better choice than gels. |

Pro 3906 St Charles, IL | Subject: RE: OK... what's your favorite gel? I voted Gu and HammerGel. It's been Gu up until now, but looking at HammerGel, as for longer distances I like it better. Gu w/ caffeine is good for shorter distances (up to a couple hours), but after a while, the diuretic effect catches up with me, which isn't so great for >3 hour efforts. Also, Hammer is available in a big bottle so you can more easily fill a gel flask with it. Gu doesn't that I'm aware of. With Gu, I liked the vanilla flavor best, as it remains palatable after a couple hours, where the other fruity flavors ( orange, etc. ) are not so appetizing at the later stages. Vanilla is, well, pretty vanilla and not overpowering. -Chris |

It's discount card week, plus the gels were buy one get on 50% off. Check your local GNC the first week of the month. They had the same deal on the accelerade drink mix canisters, and I think the cytomax stuff as well. I got 24 gels for $19. |

Clif shots taste really nasty to me for some reason. Favorites: Power Gel Green Apple I like the Crank Sports eGels, they are pretty neutral, plus I REALLY need the electrolyte replacement. |
