What would you do differently?: Only problem I really had was every time I would try to sight a buoy I would be in a trough and couldn't see crap Transition 1
Comments: Good Transition overal What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: Was a great bike until the last 20 miles, was averaging well over 20 until we made the turn for home, what was expected to be a down hill run to the end was met with 20-30 mile headwinds....ouch.....Somehow I managed to get stung by a bee at the 20 mile mark, which caused my left arm to burn a LOT for the next 10 miles... What would you do differently?: Avoid bees? Transition 2
Run
Comments: Was a good run, granted I didn't expect to PR, and breaking 10 min miles makes me happy Post race
Warm down: wasn't much of a chance to warm down as it started raining right after I finished...stood in the rain and waited for the misses to finish then headed back to hotel to warm up. Last updated: 2009-03-04 12:00 AM

Had my typical pre-race Ensures and then headed off to the race site.. We had dropped our bikes the night before so we just had our gear. The shuttled us to the race site so all we could take was transition bags.
This race can have two potential starting points depending on the current so we walked 1.2 miles to the starting point.
