Hello

When I go on a long bike ride I always start signing to myself and I usually can only remember  parts of the songs so I sing these same parts over and over.

Kenny Chesney

I will have another beer in Mexico!

or

No Shirts, No Shoes, No Problem    but I always add this line

No Shirts, No Shoes, No Panties, No Problem

What are the songs stuck in your heads

I raced my very first triathlon at the same time we were working on potty training my son.  During the whole 14 miles of the bike I was singing the "Potty Power" song from the DVD.  Nice.

I always sing songs in my head when doing laps in the pool in the morning, helps the time go past faster.

I usually just sing any of my favourite hip hop/RnB songs at the time

"I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike"

Seriously... 7 weeks out from ACL replacement... I want to be able to do more than just swing my foot back and forth on the bottom of the crank....

And yes, I walk in to PT singing this... and they all laugh, thinkin' I'm crazy...
maybe they got a point...

My experience: songs you recently listened to are most likely to get stuck in your head.

In a recent long race, I had in that order (all from Iron Maiden):

Run to the hills  (first run of the Du before a hilly bike)
Be quick or be dead (on the bike because its my strong leg)
Heaven can wait (on the second run. Yes, it hurt like hell!)

"If I Only Had A Brain" the Scarecrow

I whistle it at work.  I am an ER doc so this song occasionally concerns my patients.

I heard a story about a resident who whistled often.  He was doing a pelvic exam and began whistling but was unaware of the song he was whistling.  The patient laughed at the song.  When he asked why she was laughing she told him that he was whistling the jingle "Oh I wish I were an Oscar Meyer Weiner"-  Classic

I played that game already and my two children are grown.  Daughter living in the Atlanta area and son a senior in college this fall.

One song that stands out from when my son was a very young pickle.  He hated his car seat and would go stiff so he would not fit in the seat so we would play a cassette with childrens songs. It always worked when we would all start signing

Always get random stuff in my head, especially when swimming laps. As others have said, kid's songs are designed to do this. Nothing gets me motivated to swim/bike/run faster than Raffi. The best though was my first half-marathon. At the start/finish area they had a radio station booth, playing, well, the radio. By coincidence, the song playing during the start was Van Halen's "Running with the Devil". It was stuck in my head the whole time. And I wasn't alone. I ran with at least a dozen other people with it too (and a few actually sang it). It became the "unofficial" song of our pace group. Great jokes and shenanigans came from that. I still remember rounding that last corner and seeing the finish line come into sight with that song in my head. Great experience for my first real distance run. Still one of the fondest race memories.

I was singing this on the bike.. I did not even have to say "on your left" - people were moving to the side just to get out of this crazy person's way

For some reason, when I get on the bike out of T1 on race day, it is always "You Could Be Mine" by Guns-N-Roses. Maybe because the song has such a fast start, makes you want to get up to speed as fast as possible.
