Much better then last year.

Avg 24.0 mph on the bike in BASKETS!!!....
Beat my time goal....
Set a new course PR....
Broke into the top 10 in my age group...
Qual for USAT Age Group Nats....

Overall, not to bad a day, ...

Awesome race Cube, congrats on the improvement and top10 AG.  The race was a fun one and plenty of pizza to go around.  Weather was about perfect.  The bike course seemed fast, must have been the complete absence of wind!

And nice to meet "The Captain" on the course, took a guess and was right.  See ya on course in the future.

I think they used an incorrect divider on the bike. If you look at last year's times, and accordant pace, that is a much more accurate reading. Mine was minus 1.5 mph from the listed avg.

Quick check looks like they used 14 as a divider. and the course is actually 13.2. Sorry to be a semi-killjoy.

ps. I met The Captain in passing, so it was nice to put a face with the (screen)name. Thanks all for coming down to play in my 'hood'.

It was an awesome race today.  I took 10 minutes off my time from 2007.  I'm happy.

Your are right about the bike being shorter than the official 14, Garmin was 13.1 and the bike computer was 13.2 running through Transition.  Subtract 1.5mph avg off the official race results and there were still some fast speeds.  Fun Stuff.
I did see a guy go around one of the left corners, like at mile 2, and didn't slow down, locked up the rear tire, bunny hopped the curb and  road down into the gully.  Me, I would have crashed - he had skills.  Kept me thinking about paying attention though and not worrying about 3-5 extra seconds.

I think I am going to adjust to 13.2 miles in my RR.  I like to keep an accurate record to reflect on next year.

I thought 24mph sounded good for baskets...oh well, 22.5 aint bad.
I saw some times in the 25-26mph range and that would have been cookin on that course.
I faded on the run as I burned it out on the bike. Gave back 15-20sec per mi on the run over last year.
Its hard training LONG and racing short. The speed burns out just about the time you hit T2.

Tri PTC was an awesome race for me. I really enjoyed it and overall came out with a great time 1:36:26. On this course, I also saw my fastest bike mph average to date. 17.3 according to my bike computer. I have never hit above 16.18 in a training ride.

I will do my race report tonight.

My tri suit on the other hand... whoa nelly wanna talk about some dirty water. my purple tri top is now brown!

Figured out who you are, and with a 34:56 time, your avg would be 22.7 (22.6717), no doubt a good day for lots of us on the bike. Like you, I overcooked the bike and lost even more (1:07) on the run, when compared to last year. But hey, the bike is the glory sport, and I'm sure they'd approve over at Slowtwitch.

To the last poster, AWESOME! The only thing better than hitting new personal limits, is doing it in a race.

What a day for a race?  The weather was phenomenal and the course and volunteers were great.  Looked around for some of the BTrs but did not recognize any from the online photos.  I followed somebody for a bout 45 of the 50 miles of my ride down there and then lost them in the parking lot? maybe it was Having_Fun_Trining who seems to be from the neighborhood.

Good race for me I almost beat the goal but technically did acheive.  I was shooting for 1:30 and I finsihsed 1:30:35 so did not beat it but tied I guess.  RR is up and its time to hunker down and get after it for Lake Lanier.

It definitely was fun.  I had a good race...up until the run.  It was a slow run even by my really low run standards but I haven't been following through on the run training.  1:23:34 (with a 32:00 minute run where I just handed all that time back).  I think that is my favorite race though, good competition in an organized setting.  Good job, everyone!

I'm glad the bike course wasn't wet or it could have been ugly.
