It should be a great venue, and I'm hoping to have a good race despite this cold I caught Sunday.... Falls Creek Falls is a great place. If you get a chance, you should ride up to Virgin Falls. It is about 25-30 miles from FCF. There are a couple of waterfalls that come out of caves and fall into bowls and disappear. There is also one that comes over a huge rock that makes a (cave/room). After the water comes over the rock it goes back under it and disappears. VERY cool... I was just up at both of them recently. They are not nearly as nice now as they are in the spring and fall when there is more rainfall. Virgin Falls is about a three mile hike in if you take the short route. The pictures on the websites do not do VF or FCF justice. You have to see them in person. |

Can someone give me an idea of what we are looking at for the bike and run. Will they let us know when you leave on the swim part before Saturday morning? Any info at all about the race and course would be much appreciated. This is the first of 4 races we are doing between now and October4 so this is not my A race but I would like to do well. (PTC, Calloway Gardens, Tri to Remember and Lanier, then rest.) |
