Subject: RE: Anyone run or bike the Chicago lake front? The water there is great. They have buoys that will even mark your distance for you!
The trail is a nightmare to run/bike on after work hours. There are people EVERYWHERE! Tourists like to stop directly in front of you without notice and dart out in front of cyclists. Early in the day is not so bad.
I know a BTer that took a lady out on the trail a few weeks ago. She yelled "on your left" 3 times before she speared her with her aerobars. The lady apparently turned right in front of her because she wasn't paying attention.
Its a nice place to run and swim, but I'd be scared to death to ride my bike there. |
