Regular 82 New Jersey | Subject: RE: Team Skinny (Sept 09)Vacations Over Weigh-in this am: 250.6. That's a loss of 3.4 since last week, so I am very happy! My goal for this month is 235. You can pull me out. After month's of meticulously keeping track of calories and busting my , I give up. I'm going to eat what I want. The way I see it, if I'm not losing the weight there's no need to put myself though being hungry all day long. Better to be fat and happy then fat and miserable. JC - If you've been working diligently and have seen no results, it may be time to talk to your doctor or an endocrinollogist, to rule out any health conditions that may be frustrating your weight loss. Extreme Veteran 785 Indiana | Subject: RE: Team Skinny (Sept 09)Vacations Over Hello Skinnies! I'm back in at 297. However I have a feeling I'm going to have a tougher time losing this month. Last night I was doing some repair work to the Garage. When I went to get on the step ladder I felt something pop in my left knee. The pain was unbelievable! It had been a little tender for about the past three weeks. I just figured I may have overdone my strength training. Anyway, I'm making an appointment with our Doctor to get it checked out. |

Master 1690 Metro NY Area | Subject: RE: Team Skinny (Sept 09)Vacations Over Ok I weighed in yesterday. I know how much I weigh but I would rather not put that number on an open forum as it could bounce around the internet for years so I will just say my goal is to lose 8 lbs.in September. Sounds reasonable. |

Veteran 157 Rainy WA | Subject: RE: Team Skinny (Sept 09)Vacations Over I'm weighing in at 176. Now this just has to be some water weight. Heck. Well, we'll see how I do next week. I'm exercising and watching the food--something's gotta give. Kiwi, I'm sure sorry about the knee. I hope the doctor visit goes well. Good luck this week, fellow skinnies! |

Expert 1773 San Gabriel Valley, California | Subject: RE: Team Skinny (Sept 09)Vacations Over Weighed in at WW today. Not good. 142.2, which is up a pound. I can't explain it, however my new program is "eat less and run more." I don't really think I consumed 3,500 more calories than I expended this last week. I am not going to slit my wrists this week. |

But even if you are at 29%, it isn't that far to get to 25%. Mine is 33% and I would do almost anything to be at EITHER 22 or 29%. Well, almost anything except eat less and run more. But I would do almost anything else. |

Elite 3460 Slackerville, USA | Subject: RE: Team Skinny (Sept 09)Vacations Over I was a day late for my weigh in but I sure wasn't the pound short that I was hoping for. Two pound gain to start the month. Not good. I'm at 198.4. I'll have to exercise hard and do a better job of watching how I eat. The stress and lack of sleep hasn't helped any either. That means I have two pounds a week I need to lose instead of the one that I originally needed to hit my goal. Maybe I'll have to put the bran muffins back on the breakfast menu. I think they are what did the trick last month. |

But I would do almost anything else. So, it is 29% which means about 22kg of my body weight is fat- buuuuuuuu! Also did my fitness test today- walk for 12mins- and only managed 0.8 miles which is below average for my age group. Then again she said it might be because we didn't want for my heart rate go too high. Still. Below average. On the plus side I saw two lads from our rugby team today. I was drying my hair in the pool changing area (hairdryers in "dry locker rooms" are too high for me so I always use the pool ones)and they were aqua jogging or something like that. There's no lying about- those lads are not gonna break world records in any distance swimming but they surely can brighten your day. Well, most of them anyway Hope I'm not inappropriate here. |

Expert 859 Perth, Australia | Subject: RE: Team Skinny (Sept 09)Vacations Over Not inappropriate at all, always brightens my day when the Perth Glory football team are training in the pool. Good news that you're back in the gym. When I had my fat test done, it was 30%, yuck, about a third of me is fat. Bit late this week, I know, hubby off to Europe again so haven't been able to use the internet for long. I'm 59.9kg, hoorah, back in the 50s, if only just. That's 132lbs so down 0.9lbs. While my beloved is away, I'm bleaching my teeth so hope to lose a bit more - there's nothing like having hydrogen peroxide in your mouth for an hour every evening to dull your appetite. |

Extreme Veteran 785 Indiana | Subject: RE: Team Skinny (Sept 09)Vacations Over Good Evening Skinnies! Just a note to let you know I saw the Doctor today. And while I was waiting, freezing cold in that little gown they give you, wondering if they make a size a little larger than small, and was I going to wait another 20min. A million and one thoughts running through my mind as to what I did to my knee. What if I'm going to be laid up for 6 to 8 weeks? What was I going to do about work? What about training and exercise? Just then the AC kicks in and sub-artic air rushes out of the vent from the ceiling and straight down my back. 'I swear it was cold enough you could hang meat in that room'! Finally the 'Doc' walks in, and gives me the news. ( please understand I couldn't remember the technical terms he used even if my life depended on it) What it amounts to, is that I've strained some tissue behind the knee to the point that it could tear! I believe he used the term Tendon. He put me in a leg brace that went from the middle of the calf to mid thigh. And said to stay off it as much as possible for 4 weeks and we would see how it was healing. I guess strained is better that torn any day, so I guess I'll count my blessings one by one. |
