wsrobert - 2009-09-03 4:00 PM Kind of going through the same thing. Just bought a tri bike literally 5 days ago (surprise to my fiance) and now shes asking (or demanding) that I sell it  or both and only keep one bike. I thought I could somehow sneak another bike home which turns out is a bit hard when you live in a NYC apartment and only have one bike to begin with. Soooo I've got an 09 Wilier Izoard and a 09 Felt B12 (literally 15 miles on it) for sale and am considering just one aero road frame. Currently eyeing the Wilier Imperiale but have to sell the current ones first.

Dood.  Buy more toys now.  Once you are married it's even harder!!!!  I just had to sell my race wheels to buy a cross bike.  It was a sacrifice, but the marriage is still in good standing!

i already have 2 mountain bikes

hardtail
full suspension

my first tt

and roadie will be comming as soon as i can find a nice nice deal on something.

I dont' see the problem with 2 bikes.  my mtb bikes kick arse also...the full suspension is a $3k bike the hardtail is $1.5k.  try justifying buying a 4th.

I said I was going to sell my motorcycle for my forth bike.  But now I have it, and didn't sell the bike.  If enough water goes under the bridge, I can sell the motorcycle for my fifth bike!

Just not sure what to get yet.  Probably a build my own project.  Single speed 29er sounds like it would fit the bill.  That or cycle cross ride.

Meh, I bought a p2c and have had no regrets selling my road bike.  Do group rides with friends all the time with a mix of mostly tri bikes and a couple roadies.  Did Hotter N Hell 100 miles on my tri bike and had no problems keeping the lines and never endangered anyone or had any issues.  Maybe take a bit to get used to your bike, but after that, don't feel like you'll need a road bike for anything other than the very rare super hilly course.  If I still had my road bike it would surely be collecting dust and depreciating for no real reason other than to serve as a pure backup should something happen to my tri.  But, if money is no object, keep it.  Or you could sell it and put the money you get towards some real nice wheels.

I just bought a tri bike and I'm keeping my roadie and my upgrade to an all carbon road bike next year.
