Subject: RE: HIM taper while IM training (x post) From a newbie at the full distance, I'm following the Be Iron Fit 30 week training plan and have a HIM the same weekend as you, which falls 8 weeks out from B2B on Nov 7. My plan calls for 16 hours of training this week, then next week it dials it down to 6:30 besides the race. Looking it over I basically lose my long ride and run with some other workouts cut back a bit and no real interval work besides some pickups. I get a rest day the day after the race, then the following week has 17 hours of training and no interval work, just z1/z2 type work for the week. Good luck |
