Run
Comments: This was a very good run for me. I was hoping to finish faster than last year, and I did by about 2.5 minutes. And I was right around 10 minute miles, which I am very happy about. 8/24 in my age group??? Never thought I'd see the day when I'd be even in the top half. What would you do differently?: Run harder at the end to get under 10 minute miles! Post race
Warm down: Walked around and stretched the lovely IT band, as usual. It actually held up fairly well, but I could still definitely feel it. What limited your ability to perform faster: The wind and the uphills. (It was very windy!) Event comments: I really like this race. It's the 20th running, so they have the routine down cold at this point. Very organized. There were 4 drink stations on the 5k alone! They also run a 10k and a 1/2 marathon, so there are lots of people. Last updated: 2005-03-08 12:00 AM

Overall Rank = 64/105

Age Group Rank = 8/24
Had toast with honey for breakfast. We drove to the nature center to check in, then took the bus (aka the advertised "chauffered ride") to the start.
Stretched, jumped around, ran a bit. Tried to stay warm as the wind was quite strong.
