Master 2014 Ohio | Subject: RE: 2010 Season - Post your races, maybe-races, ideas, etc I've been giving this some thought. I still have one more tri this year so my season is not quite over yet. Next year I want to focus on running, I think. My best stand alone 5k time is still over 30 minutes, and 10k over an hour although I've run sub 26 min and around a 56 min in tris, respectively. I just have not done that many running races. So I'd like to do a few 5k's and 10k's next spring and see if I can get those times down to the low 20's and low 50's. I'll most likely do an oly distance or two (Antrum and Alum Creek come to mind) and maybe the Cols Marathon next October. I'm already registered for the OSU tri, as my entry carried over from last year. Also I'd like to do the Miami tri- I've done the last three years and really enjoy it. So there it is; Some 5k's some 10k's Miami tri OSU tri Antrum Park Alum Creek I don't plan an anything longer than a oly at this point. Training for these two IM's this year has really got me run down. |

I cant seem to find it anywhere. Is it still too early for 2010 events? It's not on the HFP website. They may not be putting it on next year. I'll worry about it in Janurary. |

Maybe?? June xx - Wendy's International- corp. challenge (who wouldn't want to race for free) July xx - Columbus Olympic - like Alice I like the course fast fun and spectator friendly I am seriously thinking about doing another HIM. I am torn between doing the GBC again or the Rev3. I haven't decided yet. I'll be seeing you at Wendy's (corp. challenge, and yes, I'm a cheap you know what!) |

Expert 1123 Columbus | Subject: RE: 2010 Season - Post your races, maybe-races, ideas, etc well i forgot to register for the arlnold pump and run on the first when registration opened. i tried on the 3rd - it was full already. no pump and run. i'll prob do the stand alone 5k though. i am surprised there is no info on OSU tri yet considering hfp has a race schedule posted and they have been holding people's money for a year. (it was hfp wasn't it?) i am feeling a little post season let down today. i feel tired when i run and ride. i haven't swum and i can't get into lifting. i have already had my little rest. i need to get going. |

(it was hfp wasn't it?) I am positive it was HFP. I think it was scheduled for May last year?? I was looking at doing it last year After the MSF in April, but then it was cancelled due to pool construction not being done. Let me know if you hear anything. Doug |

Member 221 Lancaster | Subject: RE: 2010 Season - Post your races, maybe-races, ideas, etc Saw a couple people mention the Fat Rabbit sprint at Antrim in July. Is that a beginner friendly course? That is what I'm shooting for on my first tri. Just started training the first of the year and figured July would be a realistic time for my debut. |

Expert 784 Computerland | Subject: RE: 2010 Season - Post your races, maybe-races, ideas, etc May 2- Flying Pig Marathon Don't know what I am doing after that. I'll have to see how I like the marathon. My plan is either another marathon, an ultramarathon, a half ironman, or a full ironman. One of those. I'll just wait and see how I feel. I am really excited for the marathon |

Really? I had TOTALLY put it out of my mind. I thought that was pretty unrealistic. Maybe I will re-think. See you at Muncie and Cedar Point! Are you planning any trips up to Sandusky to ride the course beforehand? Maybe we could travel together. I would like to ride it a couple times. Once we'll probably go as a family and maybe do some Cedar Point stuff. But definitely not twice before the race. Not sure we'll even be able to afford to do it once, actually. |

Extreme Veteran 717 Chicago | Subject: RE: 2010 Season - Post your races, maybe-races, ideas, etc I grew up in Ohio but have lived in Chicago for the past 6 years. I did my first tri ever in Vermilion last year so I think I will go back and do the Olympic there this year. It was a nice, small race run by HFP and I really enjoyed it. Still trying to work in more races though. I might skip the Chicago Tri this year as it's rather expensive at $150 and dedicate those funds to 2-3 other smaller races. Hmmm... |

Veteran 323 Sandusky, OH | Subject: RE: 2010 Season - Post your races, maybe-races, ideas, etc New to BT as of Jan 1st.... I live in Sandusky and have run marathons and ultra marathons. Seeing there was an Ironman length race 5 min from my house I couldn't pass up the opportunity. So never having done a tri I signed up and I've been training my butt off. So my race schedule revolves around the REV 3 race in Sept. Here's what I'm thinking tentatively: |
