I'm still in the dark on where I'll be.  I've yet to get an assignment.  Guess I'll show up Friday...maybe they'll have something for me by then.  Would be nice to have a heads up though...

I'm on the wetsuit peeler team. My first choice. Yay! Then, I'll have plenty of time to get a run in and cheer everyone at the finish. Several folks from the Jackson, MS, area are headed to PCB.

Plan on taking a shower after your volunteer gig and take them up on the gloves if they offer them to you. There are a lot of bodily fluids you will be exposed to.

I was a wet suit stripped back in '06 it was fun but heed ^^^.

I complained that I was assigned arch timer instead of finish liner catcher so I'm now a catcher from 9-12...those are my people..I love BOpers!

Plus I will have a blast with Sherri and Jen in the women's change tent. Any other women change tent folks from BT?

I'm a finish line catcher from 6-9 and then plan on staying at the finish line until the end. I can't wait!

I went ahead and emailed the volunteer staff and found out I'm on the kayak team.  That is what I wanted!  I'm excited and looking forward to being out there in the water and seeing it from a completely different view!

I'm assigned as a finish line catcher as well.  I'll be there from 9-12!  Very excited to see these finishers come across.  I volunteered in 2007 as well (did the swim water table, worked the 90 mile bike aid station and then was a catcher from 6-9!).  I was also about 10 weeks pregnant!

Planning to sign up for next year's race.   Finally!

I doubt they will kick you out if you volunteer to stay and help another shift.

I still haven't gotten my email either, so I emailed the volunteer coordinator, Steve Harvard.  He emailed me back saying I ought to get an email from the swim captain in the next few days.  I am hoping that means I am on the Kayak Team also.  That was my first choice.  Looking forward to finding out. . . ..

That's what he told me too.  I have a Kayak and it works out for me.  Just waiting for email from swim captain to confirm times, etc.  Should be a lot of fun on the water!!

Kathy - I may volunteer in the women's change tent, I'd like to do some bike - run coverage to get some ideas on what people do and wear for next year.

I am the captain of the women's change tent and I just got my list of volunteers late yesterday.  I will send my e-mails out today.  So, yes, there are still emails coming out.

Jen, I saw your name on the list and I'm so glad you're going to be with me this year.  Kathy, they did not put you on my list but that's fine, come on anyway!  Usually, they just notify the captain of your first choice assignment.

Hey lady!!

You guys are going to help me have the FASTEST transition time on record. Every second is going to count for me!! Thank you so much for being a volunteer. I hope to see you a little quicker this year...and little healthier in T1..and definitely in T2

Lots of finish line catchers from 6-9. We will have to put names with faces! And have our list of the BTers who are racing so we can try to catch them.
