Subject: RE: Need ideas for 40th birthday celebration It depends on what kind of shindig you'd dig! Hubby and I threw a wine party which was an amazing success and would be fun (though not athletically themed ) for a birthday celebration- we provided the food and everyone brought their favorite wine, so then everyone at the party was introduced to lots of new wines and it didn't break the bank for anyone. You could have "Birthday Olympics" with trike races, 3 legged races, or you could even take that to the other side with "Over the Hill Olympics" and include maybe a pinanta contest with a cane, wheelchair races etc. That's mildly athletic and fun for everyone I think. Or a grownup pizza party, you make the dough and people bring toppings (or you provide them ) and everyone can make their own personal pizza. I dunno, I'll turn on my e-mail updates for this though, so if you want to share more about what you're into, I'll see what else I can think of. My Hubby turns the big 40 in a couple weeks, so we've been trying to figure out a fun and inexpensive way to mark the occasion too. |
